They face of black beauty are black people with TWO BLACK PARENTS like those in the continent of Afrika. Black Americans (black people in general) need to stop letting biracial people be the face of black beauty and out shine you in every aspect of physical beauty. From facial features to skin to hair.
You've praised the Halle Berry, Mariah Carrey, Paula Patton, Alecia Keyes etc. and let these biracial people be the face of black beauty by claiming them as black like you with two black parents.
You were taught to claim them as black because of white man's racist one drop rule. Even tho white man himself has 10-16% black in him.
Whites are already ditching authentic black people and making biracials the face of black beauty because they are closer to fitting their white supremacist standard of beauty than an average Afrikan American with two black parents.
What makes it worse is when black people themselves who can go to a village in Afrika "somewhere" and blend in are ALSO claiming biracials as black like them who will stand out from the crowd (in exclusion of east Afrikan countries near the Arabian Peninsula with lots of people mixed with crakka arab)
Although biracials too come in all shades even as dark as Shemar Moore and Boris Kodjoe, they are often light skinned and that's why the belief that if you're light skinned "you ain't black enough" comes from. Because they automatically believe that you must have a lot of white/non black in you like biracials/multiracials.
STOP LETTING WATERED DOWN BLACK FOLKS BE THE FACE OF BLACK BEAUTY AND PROMOTING IT TOO ALONG WITH WHITEY. STOP LETTING THEM REPLACE WHAT AUTHENTIC BLACKS LOOK LIKE.

ReplyDeletePretty cool list: I have to take exception to the reference of "Hollie Berry's" inclusion when the pretext is "Black Women;" You cannot compare her to other black women, mainly because as a halfbreed your genetic trait as to "skin complexion" where in black people it ranges from a degree of "very dark shaded to light shades" however; someone who are half white and half black are "never" very dark skinned" therefore you are limited to the actual characteristics of Black People, hence Hollie Berry doesn't qualify in a black category as a comparison
