Sweet girl thats what I think when I hear you voice...I am a mix of Brazilian & Dutch and its a little uncomfortable when people wake up and assume that I am Spanish. Without staring a conversation that would lead someone to ask with manner if Im Spanish. Please all Spanish Holly Hood readers don't think of yourself as a target... And at the end of the day the stereotype is everywhere and in all. However about your topic I miss when black girls did their hair with pride. Go for it and put it on if will make you happy, more gorgeous and praise of GOD! kisses
Dumb self hating black females will say ANYTHING to defend her OBSESSION with putting dead animals and dead people's hair on her scalp to look like a non black female while claiming she's a "queen". Problem is , no Queen in HISTORY ever wore a peasant's Crown (yet black females have the most UNIQUE hair in the World). Weaves STINK! Its bad hygiene and it promotes bacteria and lice. Funny how black men have THE SAME hair and embrace, style, GROW and present ourselves PROUDLY in our natural born features. No wonder 80% of you broads have no man.
What is your opinion about white women wearing dreadlocks or weaves or something? I've seen a lot of discussion about this lately where this was considered offensive cultural appropriation.
Holly Hood Thanks for bringing up this topic. Inner beauty trumps the outer appearance 24/7/365, especially from the One whose opinion I truly cherish.
It's so expensive to upkeep. I just have short natural hair and nails too. That's just me! I agree, someone should love you for you not how you choose to wear your hair.
I could care less if you want to, or feel you need to wear wigs and weaves. Maybe with some people its just the "deception" that goes with wearing. But I also believe that a bald woman, is still beautiful as one with a full head of hair. After all is said and done, its just a fashion statement that can look good as well as terrible. Nice video, thanks.

If you are a consumer (like me) who doesn't like wasting your hard-gained money, then you need to know what's necessary and what's unnecessary in these last days? It is time to get our storehouses in order. Luke 21:34 "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap."
I'm black but some black women look ridiculous with weaves and then others rock it really well. if your gonna wear fake hair make sure it suits your colouring/facial features/ face shape etc
Even though this may all be True more ways than one. I think she went "easy" on the fake hair hats. I understand if you really NEED to wear it due to lack of hair and other diseases, but you've just got some LAZY ass people who don't wanna take care of their hair or just flat out HATE their hair thinking they need Straight hair 24-7 and don't wanna learn how to manage it and let it be NATURAL, let alone grow it out of inferiority...
And I don't wanna be the individual to get side eyed for saying that "regardless what hair is on my head I'm me!" comment we heard, yet you got some people lying to themselves and fronting like they're something else "mixed" with Black... is that "still me"? or are we playing as if we're mixed with something else? (excluding the fact we're all mixed with something, my point is if you look it, only then will people believe it).. I could say I'm Black, Puerto Rican, Italian, and a bunch of other shit but you and the World won't believe that unless you somehow seen the features of that is all I'm saying. The same applies to hair in some sense with blacks alot... Although folks wanna sweep that under the rug like they don't see it...
There is no RACE that has that Good hair/Bad hair issue like black people and I feel that in itself has to be noted when speaking of this subject, instead of cosigning it because other races do it (yet they're fine with their natural hair most times).. It even affects the black males who go natural in some sense. Even seen dudes go getting perms or "texturizers" just to make their hair seem more "acceptable" than their natural hair. I've even seen certain females not consider hair to be "long" unless it was pressed straight to hang... Yet anyone who's Black and has grown their natural hair knows you pull a strand to see the true length really without straightening it (unless you're trimming ends easier).
Been saying this for the longest. Other races of girls can wear those textures of hair because it usually matches their natural texture, if they wore fake hair (unless horribly done) no male would be able to know that that white girl or Hispanic girl etc was wearing fake hair. Now black people period have the most different hair compared to any other race on earth so of course if you get fake hair as a bw its not hard to figure out if it's real or not especially since bw tend to get really long Straight silky hair. now if bw got hair that resembled their own hair texture (box braids etc?) then it wouldn't be such a big problem. To add on to this is that you see little black girls with fake hair a lot I've never seen little girls of other races wearing fake hair at such a young age (unless like beauty pageants etc but those don't count) older black women may wear it or even wigs, when have you ever seen a 65+ woman from another race with fake hair? No I'm not bring down black girls but
now days it's if your not natural your nothing. I was natural for 7 years up until 5 months ago. back to relaxed. and I'm fine with it. and i ware my weave and fabulous wigs different styles of them. mostly it black men saying they would NEVER date some one who is not natural or who rock weave or wigs. like thats a evil thing. I dont see anything wrong with it at all. I enjoy my quick weaves. it's sad. but I don't care ima do me. good video 😊
Thank you Rebeca. I'm white with very thin hair, especially in my 50's. Thinking about getting extensions (not sure if I am brave enough). @men....If you are only attracted to the outside, you really need to rethink your motivation and remember, you look for beauty and all women know this. Why in the world would any woman, regardless of race, not play to that. Don't ask for beauty and cry foul when she delivers.
suppose black men wore white mens and Indians hair on their heads as oppose to their own, would your opinion be the same?or would u say they looked ridiculous, were self hating and trying to be something that their not?
damn that crap is madness. I am a Rasta I will only enjoy the company of a natural girl a perm is o.k. damn the rest I not made at you. praise Jah I have choices
I'm been trying to locate a non-black woman that wears wigs for years and no I'm not talking about extensions. Just say the truth you don't love yourself, just say it. Everyone knows the truth already. I swear to you that the whole world knows. But thankfully they are black women out there that rock their beautiful hair, thank God for those women they are truly the REAL QUEENS.
Agree! I'm white I got full head curly blonde hair andbi wear wigs everyday !!!! Or extension it just cause I like it! I been messing w hair before was famous in white community but ended up with a Buisness out of it! I just love hair doing hair but my ex hated it he alwausvshow me pic of my natural hair and beg me to wear it! Funny but alll women compliment it!Who cares! But the only thing I would say health part that I hear African American mention oh and girl I work with has that natural black Afro I loveeeeee it spooo pretty!!!!!!!!!And you're so pleasant you remind me of my aunt she talks to everyone! It funny she go doctor with me and she makes 5 friends or just talks to them you're just kind and pleasant !
And get some hair that looks real when it's on your head! The new wave of afro textured hair processing is awesome, and though real hair is certainly more desirable, especially what most of us want and have varying degrees of success obtaining, that being LONG hair, the stress relief of finding a good source for "not your own hair" hair, is invaluable. The other thing I dislike and am trying to avoid is hair stolen from women, chopped off by teams of men, as is very common in Brazil, roving about looking for Brazilian long hair on women. Why don't men just grow their own hair and sell it instead of attacking the women in your country and brutalizing them for their beautiful hair that gets sold to other women??? Silly, evil, and totally unnecessary. When I find out about where the hair comes from, I avoid anyplace where I learn the hair is forced off of women's head. Brazilian hair is OUT. I will not buy it and I hope other women will keep this in mind when they buy hair. If you know any story behind the various sources, ladies, please let me know what you know. I truly try to be cruelty free regarding this hair buying process. We need to have a great deal of compassion for other women around the world.
